Leonard, Texas -- The S&S Lady Rams improved to 2-5 in District 11-3A with a four-set win over the Leonard Lady Tigers.

S&S set the tone for the match with a 25-20 win in the opener and the Lady Rams went up 2-0 with a 25-17 victory in the second set.

Leonard battled back to take the third set, 25-16, but S&S closed the door with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.

Madison Jones led Leonard with 14 kills. Bella Neaville and Leah Stoy were also in double digits with 10 kills apiece.

Avery Ross finished with five kills, Riley Brown knocked down four kills, and Ava Flowers had two kills to go along with 44 assists and six digs.

Emma Houser and Olivia Aylor each had eight digs, while Jasper Cunningham had one ace and one dig.

The loss drops Leonard to 28-5 on the year and 4-3 in District 11-3A. 

S&S will travel to Bells on October 7, while the Lady Tigers will host Ector in a non-district tilt on Tuesday, October 7.

District action for the Lady Tigers will resume on Friday, October 10 when Bells visits Leonard.
