Honey Grove, Texas -- Honey Grove is preparing to host the 31st Annual Davy Crockett Day Festival on Saturday, September 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in downtown Honey Grove. Known as “The Sweetest Town in Texas,” Honey Grove will welcome visitors from across the region for a day packed with food, shopping, music, and fun for all ages.

Kicking Off the Day

The celebration will begin bright and early with the Pancake Breakfast at The Rails, opening at 7:00 a.m. — a tradition that fuels attendees before a full day of festivities on the square.

A Record-Breaking Year

This year’s event will feature over 100 vendors, the largest in festival history. That’s a significant increase from last year’s 63 vendors and more than double the 48 who participated in 2023. The growth reflects the festival’s rising popularity and Honey Grove’s vibrant downtown revival.

New Attractions in 2025

  • Davy Crockett Car Show (9 a.m.–2 p.m.)
The inaugural car show will highlight everything from pre-1949 classics to muscle cars, trucks, and customs. Judging begins at 11:00 a.m., with awards at 2:00 p.m.

  • Festival Train Rides (9 a.m.–3 p.m.)
Families can enjoy unlimited rides for $5 (or $3 for a single ride) on a trackless train that will circle downtown throughout the day.

Festival Favorites Return

In addition to shopping and food, Davy Crockett Day will feature a wide array of activities:

  • Live Music: Performances by Rita Fulmer, Dewayne Strickland, Paris Guitar Academy, and Colton Sanders will provide entertainment throughout the day.

  • Food Trucks & Baked Goods: A variety of Texas flavors will be available.

  • Cake Walk & Bicycle Rodeo: Fun interactive traditions for kids and families.

  • Antique Tractors & Toy Exhibit: Showcasing history alongside modern attractions.
