Ector Lady Eagles take Trenton to five sets in hard-fought battle

The Ector Lady Eagles left it all on the court Tuesday night in a thrilling five-set showdown against Trenton, narrowly pulling out a five-set win with scores of 25-20, 27-25, 26-28, 13-25, and 15-9.

Alana Mackey turned in a standout performance, leading the team with 17 kills, 19 assists, 24 digs, and 1 ace, showcasing her all-around skill and leadership. Adalynn Dederick kept the offense moving with 23 assists, 10 digs, 1 ace, and 10 kills, while Aleea Wheeler provided strong support at the net with 11 kills. Ally Harris also made her presence felt, finishing with 9 kills, 12 digs, and 1 ace.

Defensively, Audrey Arie anchored the back row with 21 digs and 1 ace, while Lydia Essary chipped in with 11 digs, 3 kills, and 2 aces. Odette Cruz added 2 kills, and Ella Laymance contributed with 3 digs in key moments.

With a balanced attack and relentless defense, the Lady Eagles kept fans on the edge of their seats. With contributions from every corner of the lineup, the Lady Eagles proved once again they are a team to watch this season.

Ector Lady Eagles sweep Tishomingo in straight sets

The Ector Lady Eagles put together a dominant performance Tuesday night, sweeping Tishomingo in three straight sets with scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-15.

Leading the way, Alana Mackey turned in a balanced effort with 7 kills, 7 assists, and 10 digs, while setter Adalynn Dederick controlled the pace of play, recording 16 assists, 7 aces, 6 kills, and 6 digs. At the net, Ally Harris added 6 kills, 1 ace, and 7 digs, while Aleea Wheeler powered down 5 kills. Supporting the attack, Lydia Essary chipped in with 1 kill, 1 ace, and 3 digs, and Ella Laymance added 2 kills. Odette Cruz also contributed 1 kill, and freshman Ainsley Greathouse made her mark with 1 ace.

Defensively, Audrey Arie anchored the back row with 15 digs and 4 aces, keeping Tishomingo’s offense in check.

With aggressive serving, steady defense, and a balanced offensive attack, the Lady Eagles controlled the match from start to finish to secure the sweep.
