Pottsboro, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers continued their winning ways with a win over the Pottsboro Lady Cardinals in straight sets Friday evening.
The Lady Tigers came to play, as evidenced by wins of 25-16 and 25-16 in the first two sets. In the third set, Leonard turned back Pottsboro, 25-22, to earn a sweep on the road.
All of the Lady Tiger hitters got in on the action. Leah Stoy paced the attack with 12 kills, Bella Neaville slammed down seven kills, Madison Jones played an important role with six kills, Avery Ross finished with four kills, with Ashlynn Cavendar and Riley Brown each knocking down a pair of kills.
Ava Flowers had one kill while dishing out 34 assists.
Olivia Aylor led Leonard with eight digs and Emma Houser came up with seven digs.
Brown led the defense with two blocks.
Leonard, ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, improves to 26-2 on the year and 3-0 in District 11-3A.
The Lady Tigers will be on the road Tuesday, September 23 at Blue Ridge.
