Bonham, Texas -- The Creative Arts Center is excited to announce that they will be having a Creative Reuse Sale in September.
Creative Reuse Stores are popping up all over our state and country. These are thrift stores that specialize in arts and crafts supplies. These stores help keep these supplies out of the landfills and are a great source of lower cost supplies for artists. While the local art center does not have the space or staff to manage a Creative Reuse Store, they are excited to devote one week to having a sale in late September 2025.
The local nonprofit art center will have two drop off days, where folks can bring their gently used arts and crafts supplies to donate. Then they will have three days of sales. The sale will be open to the public and located inside the art center at 200 W 5th in historic downtown Bonham.
“This event will help folks in our community clean out and declutter their stash of art supplies they no longer need and provide an alternative to throwing them in the landfill.” Said Sandy Barber, center director. “This event will also help local creatives get low cost art supplies while raising needed funds for our art center. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to us.”
Drop off times:
- Tuesday, Sept 23 from 10 am to 5:30 pm
- Wednesday, Sept 24 from 10 am to 5:30 pm
Shopping times:
- Thursday, Sept 25 from noon to 6pm
- Friday, Sept 26 from 10 am to 6 pm
- Saturday, Sept 27 from 8 am to 3 pm.
Acceptable items include:
- craft papers
- paints, brushes, pallete knives
- markers, crayons and pencils
- tapes, glues
- unpainted canvases
- yarn, ribbon, fabric and buttons
- stickers, stamps and ink pads
- scissors, rulers, and other art tools and machines
- patterns, booklets and books that are arts and crafts related
Please do not bring:
- dried up paints or glues
- dirty, unusable supplies
- broken machines or tools
- items that are not arts and crafts related
