Grayson County, Texas -- The public is invited to attend the Grayson County Historical Society meeting September 9 in the Community Room at Frontier Village, located just inside Loy Lake Park’s Loy Lake Road entrance (South Loy Lake Road Exit on U.S. 75). 

Our guest speaker is T'ata Begay, who will be Celebrating Choctaw Lifeways Through Song, Dance, and Instrumentation. T'ata Begay will lead attendees through the deep-rooted relationship between the Choctaw community and its songs, dances, and musical expressions—highlighting how these practices continue to thrive and change today.

This overview will celebrate the resilience and vibrancy of Choctaw heritage, providing insight into how these traditions link generations and maintain identity.
