Rattler Days in Fort Worth set for Sept. 26-28
Fort Worth, Texas -- The Texas Rattlers reached double-digit wins on the season, defeating the Carolina Cowboys and New York Mavericks after falling to the Arizona Ridge Riders in a close game on the opening night of Thunder Days on Friday.
The Texas Rattlers won their 10th win of the season on Sunday to improve to 10-7 with a 348.5-86.75 showing against the Carolina Cowboys, who fell to 6-11. Brady Fielder started the game with an 87.5-point ride on Toad, his second ride of the weekend and 11th of the season. Carolina’s Jess Lockwood responded with an 86.75-point ride to keep the game close. Claudio Montanha Jr. then rode Cash On Black for 85.25 to extend Texas’ lead. A qualified 88-point ride by Braidy Randolph against Scrappy put the game out of reach for the Cowboys followed by Ezekiel Mitchell riding the team’s fourth bull atop Let’s Ride for 87.75 points to complete the 348.5 – 86.75 victory.
Randolph’s ride – his fourth of the season – marked the first time any cowboy has lasted eight on Scrappy who had bucked off each of the 17 cowboys who previously faced him.
Fielder’s 11th ride of the season put him in the runner-up position in the 2025 MVP standings. With 972.75 points, he sits 68.75 points behind the league-leader Thiago Salgado.
The Arizona Ridge Riders (12-5) narrowly edged out the Rattlers Friday night 173-172.75. Texas had back-to-back rides to kick off the game and hold control until Arizona’s final frame. Brady Fielder owned an 86.5-point ride on Organize Chaos before Daniel Keeping recorded an 86.25-point ride aboard Rock ‘n Roll.
The Rattlers had improved to nine wins Saturday night with an 87.75-87.5 outing against the New York Mavericks (3-14). While both squads earned one qualified ride, Daniel Keeping’s initial 87.75 points in the second frame was enough for the win. New York’s Mauricio Gulla Moreira brought the game back within a quarter point with an 87.5-point score, but it was not quite enough to catch Texas.
The Rattlers head to Anaheim next for a neutral site game as they prepare for Rattler Days September 26-28 in Fort Worth, Texas as the league makes its annual regular season visit to Cowtown. Tickets can be purchased at PBR.com, ticketmaster.com, The Dickies Arena Box Office, or by calling PBR customer service at (800) 732-1727.
