Former Dodd City High School multi-sport standout Lindsey Mauppin is preparing for her junior year at East Central University where she continues to excel in athletics and in the classroom.
Mauppin and her ECU cross country teammates will be running at Rogers State University on September 4.
Mauppin explains why she is attracted to such a demanding sport.
“I like cross country because it develops my mental and physical toughness and endurance," Mauppin says. "I enjoy competing with my teammates for a conference championship and developing new friendships."
The Dodd City ex has continued to be a multi-sport athlete at the collegiate level where training for cross country pays dividends in other sports, as well.
"Cross country also gives me a strong foundation to carry into softball season," remarks Mauppin.
East Central University is located in Ada, Oklahoma, and Mauppin is a business major.
