Tom Bean, Texas -- The streaking Leonard Lady Tigers moved to 16-2 on the year by sweeping Trenton, Savoy and Dodd City in pool play at the Tom Bean Volleyball Tournament.

Facing Trenton in the first round, Leonard cruised to wins of 25-14 and 25-14 with Bella Neaville's five kills leading the way. Avery Ross, Madison Jones, Leah Stoy and Riley Brown were all close behind with four kills. Jasper Cunningham and Madison Prather both put down one kill and Ava Flowers handed out 22 assists. Olivia Aylor came up with five digs and Emma Houser had two digs.

In the second match, Leonard overpowered Savoy, 25-9 and 25-9. Neaville knocked down nine kills, Stoy   finished with five kills, Ross had four kills, Jones put down three kills, Brown had two kills and Cunningham contributed one kill. Flowers doled out 19 assists and had three aces. Alexis Randall dished out four assists to go along with a pair of aces. Jones had a team-high four aces.

In the third match of pool play, Leonard faced the No. 4 team in Class A, the Dodd City Lady Hornets, with Leonard prevailing in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-19. Stoy paced the Leonard attack with nine kills, Neaville slammed down six kills, Ross finished with four kills and Jones had three kills. Flowers directed the offense with 22 assists. Aylor had a team-high six digs and Houser got under  two digs.

Leonard will host TCA Paris on Friday, August 29 and then head back to Tom Bean on Saturday for bracket competition in the Tom Bean Volleyball Tournament.
