Texas Rattlers conclude Gambler Days with gigantic ride, look toward Thunder Days
Aug 26, 2025
Fort Worth, Texas -- The Texas Rattlers (8-6) finished 1-2 on the weekend in Austin, Texas with a win over the Nashville Stampede 263 -174 on Friday night. But it was a gigantic ride on Sunday against the rankest bull on the planet that will be talked about in PBR circles for some time.
Brady Fielder led off Sunday’s game against the Florida Freedom facing Man Hater, the two-time YETI World Champion. The powerful bull known for his nearly vertical bucking was returning to the dirt for the first time since the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast. Fielder, a soft-spoken Australian who led the league in riding percentage last year, rode the bull like clinging to a barrel over a waterfall. He was marked a league-season-high 93.75 points.

The epic 8 seconds was also the highest-scored ride of the 25-year-old Aussie’s career and is the third-highest ride score recorded in PBR Teams history.
That ride came after Fielder rode his eighth bull of the season to set the tone in the Texas Rattlers’ 263-174 win over the Nashville Stampede (5-9) Friday night. Following Fielder’s opening frame ride, Daniel Keeping scored 87.75 on Torched and Ezekiel Mitchell put up 85.5 points on Rip. In beating Nashville, Texas snapped a two-game losing streak.
The Rattlers fell to in-state rival and defending PBR Team Champions Ausin Gamblers (10-4) Saturday night in the battle for the Land.com Texas Cup 86.25-0. In a night that had some of the rankest bulls providing the toughest rides of the season, Texas was unable to last for eight while Austin provided the one qualified ride needed to win.
In Sunday’s game when Fielder rode Man Hater, Texas fell to the 10-4, league-leading Florida Freedom despite the Rattlers’ Daniel Keeping adding an 88-pointer atop Uncle Rico in the second frame following Fielder’s triumph. The red-hot Freedom rode four of their five bulls, including strikes from Thiago Salgado (85.25 points), Joao Lucas Campos (90.75 points), Elizmar Jeremias (90.25 points) and John Crimber (89.75 points). Crimber, last season’s MVP, moved up to No. 2 in this season’s race.
Fielder has now ridden nine bulls of the eleven he has faced this season to sit fourth in the 2025 MVP Standings with 798.75 points. Even more impressive, he owns two less ride opportunities than the standings leader due to sitting out for an event with a broken leg earlier this season.
Texas owns an 8-6 record, sitting fourth in the standings, after five events this season.
The Rattlers return to action at Thunder Days this upcoming weekend, Aug. 29-31 in Springfield Missouri.
