Leonard, Texas -- In the final tune-up before district action begins September 9, the Leonard Lady Tigers moved to 23-2 on the year with a three-set win over the Tioga Lady Bulldogs.
Tioga put up a valiant effort in the opener before falling, 25-22. Leonard dominated the remainder of the match, winning the next two sets handily, 25-13 and 25-12, to sweep Tioga.
The Leonard Lady Tigers, ranked No. 5 in Class 3A, will travel to S&S on Tuesday, September 9 for the District 11-3A opener.
