Tom Bean, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers swept Tioga, Tom Bean and Grayson Christian School during action at the Tom Bean Volleyball Tournament to improve to 21-2 on the year.
Leonard topped Tioga, 25-13 and 25-16. Leah Stoy paced the offense with eight kills and four aces. Bella Neaville put down six kills, Ava Flowers finished with four kills, Avery Ross had three kills, with Riley Brown and Madison Jones each knocking down a pair of kills. Flowers doled out 25 assists. Olivia Aylor had seven digs and Emma Houser had one ace.
In the second match, Leonard swept Tom Bean, 25-10 and 25-17. Stoy led the way again with seven kills, Brown and Neaville both knocked down four kills, Ross had a pair of kills, while Flowers and Jones each put down one kill. Flowers handed out 18 assists and finished with a team-high four aces. Neaville contributed three aces. Aylor had an ace and a pair of digs, Avery Eaves and Houser each came up with one dig and Alexis Randall dished out one assist.
In the third match Saturday, Leonard swept Grayson Christian School, 25-17 and 25-11. Stoy led all hitters with eight kills, Jones slammed down seven kills, Ross finished with four kills, Brown put down three kills, with Aylor, Flowers and Neaville each chipping in one kill. Houser had four digs and an ace.
Leonard will travel to Quinlan on Tuesday, September 2.
