Ivanhoe, Texas -- The Sam Rayburn Lady Rebels defended their home court with a 25-22 win in the first set, but the Dodd City Hornets reeled off consecutive wins of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-15 to pick up a win on the road.

Addison Weeks knocked down 25 kills to lead all hitters and Gracyn Shindler was also in double figures with 13 kills.

Shindler handed out 18 assists and Kenzi Freeman came up with a team-high 20 digs. Shindler had 19 digs and Weeks got under 17 digs.

Shindler slipped 10 aces through the Sam Rayburn defense.

Caroline Lackey, Kodi Dorau and Shindler all had one block apiece. 

The Dodd City Lady Hornets (11-8) will hit the road on Thursday, September 11 and Saturday, September 13 to compete in the Saint Jo Volleyball Tournament.
