Dodd City, Texas -- Addison Weeks, Gracyn Shindler and Kodi Dorau combined for 42 kills to propel the Dodd City Lady Hornets to a three-set victory over the Class 2A Trenton Lady Tigers.

Kendyl Lindsey, Kaleigh McBrayer, Caroline Lackey and Adisen White all contributed one kill apiece.

Shindler handed out 11 assists, followed by McBrayer (8), White (7), Weeks (7), Kenzi Freeman (3), Kennedy Chaney (1), and Dorau (1). 

Freeman came up with a team-high 15 digs. Shindler and Weeks were also in double figures with 14 digs and 10 digs, respectively.

Weeks had another big night at the service line with seven assists.

Lackey and Shindler each had one block.

Dodd City, the No. 10 team in Class 1A, improves to 6-3 with the win.

The Lady Hornets will head to Detroit on Tuesday, August 26 for a tough match on the road.
