Denison, Texas -- Ike's History Festival is slated for Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6. Join the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site for two days of hands-on history fun!
Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6 from 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. historic and nature-based organizations from around the state will bring what they do best to Denison. See below for a full list of guests for each day of the event.
Admission for the festival is $3 per person (children 5 and under free). This admission includes a tour of the Birthplace; tours are offered at their regularly scheduled times and availability is limited.
Come and explore the wonders of Texas with activities and displays great for kids and adults alike.
Friday and Saturday: National Museum of the Pacific War, Fort McKavett State Historic Site, Star of the Republic Museum, Eisenhower State Park, San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site, Grayson County Frontier Village, Perrin Air Force Base Museum, Sam Bell Maxey State Historic Site, Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site, and Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
Saturday only: Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, and Bluestem Master Naturalists
Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sugar and Spice Café will be on site with delicious beverages for purchase.
