Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming ramp closure and detour for travelers in Sherman. Beginning the night of August 20, exit 62 from northbound US 75 to Lamberth Road will be closed to traffic until the new exit ramp is constructed. This closure is part of TxDOT's ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and efficiency in the area.
Motorists intending to access Lamberth Road from northbound US 75 are advised to prepare for this change. Commuters will now need to take exit 60 to Travis Street and access Lamberth Road via the northbound frontage road.
During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to pay close attention to all traffic controls and remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
