adjacent to Legacy Ridge Country Club

Bonham, Texas -- Farmers Branch-based Centurion American Development Group has long been known as on of North Texas’ finest and most prolific developers of quality residential communities. Now, the award-winning developer is building a reputation for its leadership in the North Texas golf community. Centurion American has partnered with Horizon Capital Partners to acquire a new development in Bonham called Legacy Ridge.

Legacy Ridge, a 273.7-acre master-planned community, will offer 436 single-family homesites—from 40-foot lots to sprawling 100-foot estates—centered around the prestigious Legacy Ridge Country Club.

Built in 2003, the Legacy Hills Country Club features an 18-hole course designed by Bill Johnston. The course is a par 72 and stretches to 6,750 yards from the longest tees, with a course rating of 71.8 and a slope rating of 127. The course’s elegant clubhouse offers fabulous views of the back nine along with a putting green and waterfall. The curated retail center offers a full range of golf apparel and equipment along with full-service club repair.

Fannin County’s most acclaimed golf destination also includes a collection of meeting spaces perfect for luxury weddings, family gatherings and corporate retreats.

Legacy Ridge is anchored by a beautiful golf & country club, which was a part of the transaction. The course represents the third golf investment for Centurion, which also owns The Bridges in Gunter and the soon-to-open 1876 Country Club in Celina.

“Legacy Ridge will offer those seeking the natural beauty of country living access to exceptional golf and special event spaces,” said Mehrdad Moayedi, president and CEO of Centurion American Development Group. “The range of homes at Legacy Ridge will offer exceptional home choices in the growing corridor between Sherman and Paris.”

The partnership highlights the strong growth potential of the Fannin County region.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Mehrdad Moayedi and Centurion American on the Legacy Ridge project,” said Mark Smith of Horizon Capital Partners.  “We have long been bullish on Bonham and the surrounding area and believe that Legacy Ridge offers a unique opportunity to the homebuyer, in a community we consider to be a true hidden gem, Bonham, Texas.”

Legacy Ridge joins other Centurion American golf communities including The Bridges in Gunter and the soon-to-open 1876 Country Club, which adjoins the award-winning Legacy Hills development in Celina.

Centurion American expects to break ground on the residential component in Q3 2025. Lots are estimated to be turned over to builders before the end of 2026.
