Dodd City, Texas -- Addison Weeks and Gracyn Shindler combined for 33 kills as the Dodd City Lady Hornets improved to 4-3 on the year with a 3-1 win over Boles.
Dodd City had everything going right in the first two sets, winning 25-5 and 25-10. Boles managed to take the third set, 26-24, but Dodd City responded with a 25-12 victory in the fourth set to win the match.
Weeks had a match-high 18 kills and Shindler also had a strong performance with 15 kills.
Dodd City freshman Kodi Dorau slammed down six kills, Kaleigh McBrayer finished with four kills, with Caroline Lackey and Adisen White putting down one kill apiece.
Shindler handed out 14 assists, Kenzi Freeman dished out nine assists, Weeks had seven assists, White had six assists and McBrayer had four assists.
Freeman had a team-high 21 digs, followed by Weeks (13), Shindler (9), Kennedy Chaney (5), Lindsey (3), McBrayer (2), Taylor Voss (1) and White (1).
Weeks was on a roll at the service line and finished the night with a remarkable 15 aces.

The Lady Hornets will host Trenton on Friday, August 22.
