Tioga, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets knocked off Class 3A Pilot Point, but dropped decisions to Class 2A Nocona and TAPPS 3A Denton Calvary to advance to the silver bracket at the Tioga Volleyball Tournament.

Dodd City fell to Nocona, 25-16 and 25-22. Against Denton Calvary, the Lady Hornets came close in both sets before coming up short, 25-21 and 25-20.

The match with Pilot Point was just as close, only this time it was Dodd City turning back the bigger school, 25-22 and 25-23.

Competition in the silver bracket will begin on Friday.
