Detroit, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season with three wins in pool play at the Detroit Volleyball Tournament.
In the first match, Leonard overpowered Yantis, 25-12 and 25-9. Riley Brown paced the offense with seven kills and Ava Flowers handed out 20 assists to go along with her match-high eight aces. Leah Stoy and Bella Neaville both had three kills.
TCA-Paris stung Leonard, 25-22, in the opener of the second match, but the Lady Tigers stormed back with wins of 25-15 and 25-13 to take the match. Leah Stoy led Leonard with 11 kills, Madison Jones put down seven kills, Riley Brown had six kills, with Avery Ross and Bella Neaville knocking down five kills apiece. Ava Flowers finished with 33 assists.
In the third match of pool play, Leonard put away Ector, 25-12 and 25-6. Bella Neaville and Leah Stoy led the Lady Tigers with five kills apiece.
The Leonard Lady Tigers will host Sam Rayburn on Friday, with varsity action beginning at 4:30 p.m., followed by the JV match.
