Grayson County, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming full closure of the northbound main lanes of US 75, beginning at FM 691. The closure is scheduled from 9:00 p.m. on August 21, until 5:00 a.m. on August 22, to facilitate the deck pour of the new Iron Ore Creek Bridge.

Northbound traffic will be merged down to a single lane just north of Fallon Drive and fully diverted at Exit 65 (FM 691). Detoured traffic will continue through the FM 691 intersection and continue on the north bound frontage road. From there commuters will continue around east on the Katy Memorial Expressway. They will then utilize the U-Turn at Theresa Drive and continue back towards the west on Katy Memorial Expressway and access US 75 by turning right at the Spur 503 intersection.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
