Honey Grove, Texas -- Debra Eley Fisher passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 68, in Longview, Texas. She was born February 25, 1957, in Dallas, Texas.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Ebenezer Wilson Eley and Mariola Eley.
Debra is survived by her cherished only child, Ryan Tyler Eley, who was the light of her life and her greatest joy. Her memory will also be treasured by her cousins, Denney Genovesi, Larry Tarter, and Diane Sivley, Peggy Simmons, Bill Brown, Judy Melton, Jackie Melton, Becky Ferguson, Ronald Melton, Cletia Garner, Greta Melton and Wanda Key as well as her lifelong family friends, David and Tara, who stood by her through thick and thin, and many extended family members.
A devout Christian, Debra's life was a reflection of her love for Jesus. She had an innate ability to connect with people, ensuring that every conversation was an opportunity to share her faith and offer a prayer. Her commitment to her religion was not just a personal journey but a shared experience that she lovingly extended to everyone she met.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Allen’s Point Cemetery, North of Honey Grove, Texas.
