Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced upcoming nightly full closures of the northbound main lanes of US 75, beginning at Exit 63 (US 82). The closures are scheduled to begin from 8 p.m. on August 12, thru August 14, until 5:00 a.m. in the morning and 8:00 p.m. on August 19, thru August 21, until 5:00 a.m. August 22. These closures will continue from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. every night. These closures are an ongoing part of the re-construction of the US 75 Overpass of US 82.

Northbound traffic will be detoured at Exit 63 onto the northbound Sam Rayburn Expressway. Motorists should continue north along the frontage road, bypassing the work area on the main lanes, and re-enter US 75 using the next available entrance ramp.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
