Greenville, Texas -- Join the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum for the 19th Annual Heritage Dinner on August 23, 2025 at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center featuring Josh Wright.
Josh Wright grew up in Celeste, Texas and is a contemporary Christian singer. His musical journey started at a young age learning from his father and grandmother. He attended Belmont University graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree and also spent a semester studying music business abroad at King’s College in London. Josh appeared on Season 12 of American Idol making it in to the Top 20 male finalists.
He lost his father to cancer at a young age and his younger brother to a car accident. Despite these tremendous losses Josh’s faith has helped him through and it is reflected in his music. A month ago Josh surpassed the 100k unique monthly listener mark on Spotify for the first time and his new song “The Fall” will become the flagship single for his debut album.
Josh has performed on Grammy and Dove award-winning records and represented up and coming Christian songwriters when the Songwriters Hall of Fame opened on Music Row with Dolly Parton as the keynote speaker. He has also shared the stage with Amy Grant, Trisha Yearwood and Cece Winans.
