McKinney, Texas (July 25, 2025) – The City of McKinney is proud to unveil “Ever Blooming,” a new public art installation at the roundabout at East Louisiana and Church Streets in the Downtown McKinney Cultural District. The floral sculpture was commissioned by McKinney Main Street and the McKinney Arts Commission and designed by Dallas-based artist Alli Koch of Alli K Design.

“Ever Blooming” is more than 25 feet high and made from metal, steel, and acrylic. It features three Texas-native flowers: the poppy, Indian paintbrush, and primrose. Each represents perseverance, creativity, and new beginnings.

"As the city embraces new developments and changes, this flower sculpture symbolizes that growth, renewal, and the beauty of new beginnings,” said Koch. “Each flower in the roundabout symbolizes an aspect of constant evolution, celebrating the beauty of never-ending growth and the resilience of creativity."

“This installation enhances the visual landscape of Downtown McKinney,” said Andrew Jones, Director of the Cultural Arts District. “It demonstrates the city’s dedication to supporting local and regional artists and making public art a central part of the community’s identity.”

The McKinney Arts Commission and McKinney Main Street collaborated to select and fund the installation. They saw the project as an opportunity to elevate one of the city’s high-traffic gateways and add a meaningful piece of public art that resonates with residents and visitors alike.
