From Family Fun to Pool Parties to Fashion Shows, Plano Offers

City-wide Celebrations for all Generations Honoring Juneteenth 

Plano, Texas – The City of Plano is serving up festivals, fashion and family fun for all with three diverse events celebrating Juneteenth from June 14 – 19.  

Juneteenth Celebration 2025

"Celebrating Courage, Culture and Community"

This Juneteenth event is free to the public and hosted to celebrate freedom and community. Speakers and historians will address bridging the journey from our past while embracing our rich history and bright future. The jubilant jamboree will include Smooth Jazz and R & B, line dancing, fabulous food, kid’s activities and more.

Juneteenth Fashion Experience

Legacy Hall will yet again host a Juneteenth Fashion Experience to celebrate 160 years of Juneteenth, with proceeds to benefit the National Juneteenth Museum. The “We Are One” dazzling fashion show will proudly honor the historical, influential, and ongoing contributions of the African American community.

Ticket prices are from $20 to $375.

Swim Across Texas on Juneteenth

Celebrate freedom with a splash of food, friends, and Texas history at the legendary Texas Pool in Plano. BBQ grills and picnic areas will be available, the snack bar will be open, and coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.

Tickets are $10/person, babies two and under and pool members are free.
