Fort Worth, Texas -- Roundup for Autism, presented by Winch Beef, is proud to announce that former U.S. Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson will be honored with the 2025 Barry Corbin Award for Grit and Generosity. The announcement comes as Autism Awareness Month concludes, highlighting continued efforts to recognize outstanding individuals dedicated to advocacy, service and community impact.
Named in honor of actor and autism advocate Barry Corbin, the award recognizes individuals who exemplify
resilience, compassion and a lifelong commitment to making a difference. Mr. Tillerson’s decades of leadership, both in the corporate world and in public service, have been marked by integrity, humility and
generosity.
“I’m humbled to receive the Barry Corbin Award for Grit and Generosity,” said Tillerson. “The work Roundup
for Autism is doing across Texas is truly inspiring. I’m grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside so many
dedicated individuals making a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with autism.”
The Barry Corbin Award was established in 2024 to honor those who reflect the values and vision of Roundup for Autism. The inaugural recipient was Keith Maddox, founder of American Hat and The Best Hat Store, recognized for his cowboy spirit and unwavering support. The 2025 Gala Co-Chairs are Susan Maddox,
Treasure Maddox Hannah and Mercedes Maddox Bloomer, continuing a legacy of service and celebration.
Tillerson’s distinguished career includes more than four decades at ExxonMobil, culminating in his role as Chairman and CEO, followed by his appointment as the 69th U.S. Secretary of State. Through the Tillerson Foundation and other philanthropic endeavors, he has supported education, youth development and community initiatives across Texas and the nation, embodying the very grit and generosity the award celebrates.
