Greenville, Texas -- Join us at noon on Tuesday, May 6 at the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum for a program by Rusty Williams. He will be talking about his latest book Texas Loud, Proud, and Brash - How Ten Mavericks Created the Twentieth Century Lone Star State.

The book covers ten unique Texans, people who through their accomplishments, actions and words gained national attention between 1925 and 1950. These individuals painted an indelible picture of the Lone Star State that continues to percolate throughout the nation's popular culture today.

Writer-historian Rusty Williams writes about history through the stories of the people who lived it. He is the author of six nonfiction books, five on Texas topics. He regularly speaks to historical societies, book groups and cultural gatherings nationwide and writes articles for historical magazines and journals. This month's sponsor is John Slaughter. For any questions or additional information contact the museum at (903) 450-4502.
