Addison, Texas -- Taste Addison continues to celebrate the culinary and performing arts, and for the second year, the famed fest is also treating guests to the visual arts. Each day of the three-day festival, April 25-27, visitors can experience a wide range of artistic styles and installations, all included with a Taste Addison general admission ticket.

Addison transplant Fernando “the Artist” Olivares, originally from California, will debut a vibrant new festival sign near the Taste Addison entry gate. Known for his bold visual and rendering style, Fernando is creating a neon-colored design that will highlight iconic Addison landmarks and the delicious food that helped make Taste Addison famous. This new sign will serve as a signature piece for the festival and is designed to grow each year with new imagery showcasing Addison’s eats, beats and artistic flair.

Also debuting this year: life-size letters spelling out “TASTE,” with each letter painted by a different artist to reflect a unique food theme. This interactive art installation is expected to be one of the most photographed spots at the festival.

The visual arts meet the performing arts in The Addison Performing Arts Centre during Taste Addison. In the main stage space, BlackBox 30, sultry jazz musicians and alluring silk aerialists will come together for a series of beautiful performances titled Jazz & Silks, presented by IT Cosmetics.  The Kindred Jazz band will take the stage every hour on the half-hour, with aerialists Ashlyn Peters and Gretchen Davison performing during every other concert.

Coming back to The Addison this year is the Studio 24 Silent Disco, in which guests are invited to check out the beats and enjoy the artsy treats that come with lights and music in the cool space all weekend long. A DJ will be on-site throughout the weekend to help set the vibe.

Along the curved walkway that bisects Addison Circle Park, guests can enjoy the Sip & Stroll Art Walk. More than 30 curated artisans and makers will share their wares in this Taste Addison installation.

Wines will be for sale by the glass. Throughout the Sip & Stroll Art Walk as well as nearby at the nearby Shoppers Row, visitors to Taste Addison will have the opportunity to find artistic creations for purchase.

Guests wanting to enjoy not only the fabulous art experiences at Taste Addison but also the amazing array of public art in Addison are encouraged to purchase a hotel package and make a weekend of the experience.
