Bowie, Texas -- The Ector Eagles swept Perrin-Whitt, 3-1 and 3-2, to advance to the Region II-1A semifinals.

Ector's Colby Hopper pitched a no-hitter to shut down Perrin-Whitt in the 3-1 victory. The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. When Perrin-Whitt tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fifth, Ector responded by plating a pair of runners in the bottom half of the frame. With Hopper in control on the mound, the Eagles shut out Perrin-Whitt during the final two innings for a 3-1 victory. Kaleb Haggard went 2-for-three to lead Ector at the plate.

 Carter Whitburn got the start for Ector in game two and the right-hander limited Perrin-Whitt to five hits in a 3-2 win. Whitburn aided his own cause with a 2-for-3 day swinging the bat.

The Eagles advance to take on Dodd City in a Region II-1A semifinals contest.
