Conspiracy fans take note: what The da Vinci Code  is to Christianity, Power Unleashed is to the IRS. It's only a story--but what a story.

A system ripe for abuse, inherently without accountability to other government agencies, an organization that, by its very nature, exists to collect the maximum amount of tax revenue from American citizens: the stage is perfectly set for a behind-the-scenes group to make a quick fortune without even their own bosses knowing.

Until word gets out to the wrong two Average Joes.

Written by Mickey P. Jordan, an Austin-based writer who knows the tax business from the inside out, Power Unleashed (Author House, 2005) is everyman's nighmare: the innocent bystander who knows too  much through no fault of his own gets caught up in a whirlwind of violence and deceit that threatens to destroy him and all he holds dear. It leaves the reader with that uneasy feeling: just how much power do they have? It's a great read.

But you might want to pay your taxes first.
