Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Doris Clary, 96, of Bonham, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Bonham, TX. Rev. Henry Shelton and Rev. Ken Ussery will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Willow Wild Cemetery.

Doris Lorain (Casteel) Clary was born in Wolfe City, TX on August 19, 1924 to J.D. and Ruby (Erwin) Casteel. She joined our heavenly father in her eternal home on Sunday, May 16, 2021 while at the North Star Ranch and Rehabilitation Center in Bonham, TX.

Doris was a graduate of Ector High School, Class of 1941. She married John Benjamin Clary on October 17, 1943 in Durant, OK; he preceded her in death on December 3, 2010. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a seamstress and had worked for Bonham Manufacturing and Whitewright Manufacturing. Doris was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and loved her church dearly.

She is survived by daughters, Carol Clary of Bonham, TX, Suzanne Curran of Plano, TX, and Rhonda Clary of Denison, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilbanks, Marlene Herndon, Sean Curran, and Rachel Pou; 8 great grandchildren, sisters, Nancy Vermillion of Bonham, TX and Rosemary Stacey of Livingston, TX.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shannon Leigh Curran, great grandson, Nicholas Grisham, parents, and brothers, Billie Bob Casteel, and Richard Casteel.
