Bonham, Texas -- With spring arriving and families thinking about adopting a pet, the calls have been pouring in to the Bonham Animal Shelter to see if the facility is open.

"Yes, we're still open and doing calls as they come in," says Jimmy Gilbert, City of Bonham Animal Control Officer, "and we still have animals that need a home."

 At last count, the animal shelter had five big dogs, one small dog, one puppy and five cats awaiting their forever homes.

For the remainder of April, it only costs $15 to adopt your new best friend from Bonham Animal Shelter and that includes a microchip and a free gift for your new pet.
