Fannin County Hospital Authority gifts funds to 13 local nonprofit organizations

Fannin County, Texas -- More than a dozen area nonprofits will soon be able to provide more services to Fannin County residents, thanks to funds gifted by Fannin County Hospital Authority during a Grant Awards Banquet held Monday, February 3, 2020 at TMC Bonham Hospital.

Organizations receiving grants included Fannin County Children's Center ($40,000), Fannin County Juvenile Services ($6,000), Glaser Family Charitable Foundation ($35,000), Grant Halliburton Foundation ($14,000), House of Eli ($10,000), J127 Ministries ($15,000), Camp Sweeney ($5,000), Meals on Wheels of Texoma ($25,000), Women Rock ($12,300), Fannin Health Clinic ($10,000), Grayson County Crisis Center (up to $20,000), Greater Texoma Health Clinic (up to $20,000) and Child and Family Guidance Center ($30,000).

Established in 2012 by Fannin County Commissioners Court,  Fannin County Hospital Authority is improving access to quality healthcare in Fannin County by participating in a supplemental payment program.

Fannin County Hospital Authority is comprised of Clark Sanderson, Board President; Rick Sheddy, Board Vice-President; Monica Kissling, Secretary/Treasurer; Wendy Keeton; Sharee Owens; David Stapp; and Jason Walker.

Meals on Wheels of Texoma (MOWOT), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization serving Grayson, Fannin, and Cooke counties in North Texas, was awarded a $25,000 grant from Fannin County Hospital Authority.
