BEARCAT PEP RALLY

The entire community is invited to take part in the Bearcat Pep Rally tonight at 5:00 on the Courthouse steps.  The award-winning band will lead the football team and cheerleaders from the fire station to the courthouse where Bearcat fans will gather to scream and shout and show their support.  Former Bearcat and Fred Douglass football players and coaches will be invited to gather around the players for a spirit-filled "Charge" to win state!  See ya there.

BEARCAT TURKEY

Mrs. Cowarts class created a variety of turkeys.  Each student "dressed" his or her turkey very cleverly.  There was a Spiderman turkey, a Hulk turkey, a tuxedo turkey, a basketball playing turkey and more.  But the turkey that stood above the rest was the Bearcat turkey, number 81, who just happens to be Mrs. Cowart's son's jersey number!  He is a receiver and we hope he receives and scores many touchdowns in the Saturday playoff game.

GOLFER GIRL!

Miss Emiley Patton has blazed a trail the last three years in the area of golf.

"I love it, she said, and am constantly working to improve my game.  It may be my ticket to college and I am excited about scholarship possibilities."

In three Fall tournaments, Emiley competed against 4A and 5A golfers.  She placed second in the Wichita Falls Invitational with a 79, third at the Plantation Course in Frisco with a PR of 72 and fourth at Twin Creeks Country Club in Allen with a 78.  Her final tournament for the Fall will be November 30 in Colony, Texas.  Congratulations and Good Luck, Miss Emiley!
