Honey Grove, Texas -- Forty-six members of the Honey Grove High School Beta Club attended the National Beta Club Convention in Oklahoma City June 19 - June 22.
The club competed in various competitions and heard inspirational speakers. State Vice-President Jake Caffee ran for national officer.
The group visited Frontier City, the Oklahoma Zoo, and the Oklahoma Memorial.
Maddison Cason placed 10th in drawing. Brinkleigh Mayberry placed 9th in Language Arts. Allie Morrison, Maura O'Dea, and Madison Loschke competed in the Service Learning Showcase and placed 8th nationwide. Aaron Nelson placed sixth with his technology entry. Trey Corbett placed 10th in recyclable art.
The group enjoyed the convention and looks forward to another school year serving our community.
