McKinney, Texas – On June 15, 2019, the picturesque town of McKinney will host the 2nd McKinney Book Festival inside the Church St Auditorium.  From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. patrons will have the opportunity to meet new authors and discover great Indie books. This includes award-winning local authors, as well as award-winning authors from around the great state of Texas.

DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) Texas is bringing great writing talent to McKinney and other locations across the state. This year’s event is setting the gold standard for book festivals.

The Super Readers program (an integral part of DEAR Texas) illustrates how four characters who began to read at a young age have become Super Heroes by using what they’ve read and learned, a key factor that helps get kids and adults to enjoy reading more.

At press time, the current count of attending authors is 45, with several award-winning and bestselling authors as well as new talent, all ready to share their great stories with people from the Texas Hill Country.

To get your free ticket and an entry into a book drawing, while learning more about attending authors, and to read sample chapters from most of the books being presented, please visit:
