Weatherford, Texas -- The top-ranked Class 2A volleyball team in the TGCA poll is no more after the Lindsay Lady Knights stormed the castle at the regional tournament to vanquish No. 1-ranked Crawford.

These two premier volleyball programs also met in the 2017 regional finals, with Crawford ending Lindsay's playoff run. In 2018, Lindsay returned the favor with a four-set win that sends the Lady Knights to the final four.

Lindsay advances to face Thorndale in the UIL Class 2A State Tournament semifinals in a match set for Wednesday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m.  The games are played at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland Texas.

Lindsay senior Ashley Fleitman was named MVP of the Region II-2A Volleyball Tournament.
