Buford Gerald Richardson was born on September 30, 1929 in Walker Creek, AR to Bonnie Benjamin and Pearl Lee Richardson. He married, Dorothy Lee (Suiter) Richardson, the love of his life 51 years ago on December 13, 1966 in Dallas, TX. Buford worked for R & L Plating as an electro plater before retiring and is a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Buford loved his family, horses, hunting, singing the Gospel and God.

He is survived by wife, Dorothy Richardson of Bonham, TX; daughter, Mary Anne Chandler of Athens, TX; son, Larry Buford Richardson and wife Belinda of Lake Dallas, TX; son, Michael Wayne Richardson of Bonham, TX; son, Ronald Chandler and wife Kathy of Okmulgee, Ok; daughter, Suanne Pool and husband John of Telephone, TX; son-in-law, Roy Cooper and wife Debbie of Ivanhoe, TX; 66 grand, great grand and great great grandchildren, along with numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Philip Gene Richardson, daughters, Lisa Lee Richardson and Sue Cooper; and his siblings.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Cooper, Buford J. Lewis Richardson, Michael Wayne Richardson, Jr., Raymond Theobald, Codie Pool, and Austin Pool.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel Bonham.
