Rescheduled: Annual Towne Lake Trout Derby is March 17

McKinney -- Pack a raincoat in case of morning showers and bring your fishing tackle to the East Pavilion at Towne Lake, 1405 Wilson Creek Pkwy. for a fun day of fishing for more than 5,000 stocked rainbow trout.

The City of McKinney’s annual Trout Derby is from 8:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17.


  
Casting clinics are available and prizes will be awarded for the biggest and smallest fish. All participants must provide their own pole and bait. Children ages 16 and younger are free to fish and adults 17 and older are $3. This event is open to the public and includes free hot dogs and refreshments. No fishing license is required.
