Ector Lady Eagles fall to Irving Universal

Irving -- A late rally by the Ector Lady Eagles came up two points short in a district contest against Irving Universal.

Ector and Irving Universal were tied 13-13 after the first quarter, but a 17-2 run by Irving in the second period left Ector trailing 30-15 at halftime.

Ector battled back in the final two periods, outscoring Irving Universal 28-15 in the second half, but the big lead allowed Irving universal to hang on for a 45-43 win.

Sunnie Bingham led Ector with 15 points, Destiny Whitburn put up 11 points, Stormy Shockley scored eight, Saakshi Pandey had seven points and Meredith Shockley pitched in two points.

Irving's L. Jackson scored a game-high 19 points, M. Howard scored 16, A. Gosey had six points, with C. Freeman and E. McClain each chipping in two points.

The loss drops the Ector Lady Eagles to 19-6 on the season and 3-2 in District 22-A.
