Bonham, Texas -- Cremation arrangements for Billie Dyane Gatlin, 74, of Telephone, Texas are under the arrangements of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Bonham, Texas. Mrs. Gatlin passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Seven Oaks Nursing Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Billie Dyane (Spykes) Gatlin was born on April 25, 1943 in Bonham, TX to Ralph and Ima Jo (Alexander) Spykes. She was a homemaker and lived a very private life. Billie was a talented sketch and paint artist, an avid fisher, loved the outdoors and was passionate about rescuing all kinds of animals and giving them a loving home. Her great-granddaughter Tinslee brought her much joy the last few years of her life. Billie was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish her memories is daughter, Vicki Chapman and husband David of Midland, TX; son Brian Bradshaw and wife Josie of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Hunter Chapman of Midland, TX; Justin Eichler of Denison, TX; great granddaughter, Tinslee Eichler of Denison, TX; sisters, Cindy Bellows and husband Jimmy of Bonham, TX, and Karla McConnell of Sherman, TX; brother, Steve Spykes of Trenton, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Ronnie Spykes.
