Fort Worth, Texas -- Ray McCulloch, our beloved husband and dad passed away Thursday, December 9, 2017.  Services will be held 11:00 a.m. December 12, 2017, St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 2414 Hitson, Ft. Worth, TX 76112, officiated by Pastor Max Brennan. Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to service at the church.

Ray was born February 12,1931 in Dodd City, Texas, to Clarence and Minnie McCulloch.  He was the youngest of four siblings.  They moved to Bonham, Texas where he attended school.

Ray McCulloch is survived by his wife, Veta Parker McCulloch; sons, Randy and Ricky, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Ray had many hobbies throughout life, water skiing, snow skiing, camping, riding motorcycles, but his favorite pastime was talking to people. He never met a stranger and always had a funny story to tell; there was never a dull moment around Ray. People, young and old enjoyed his company.  He was known in the neighborhood as “the Mayor” and by many younger people as Uncle Fun.

He served in the military during the Korean War.

Ray and Veta were married in Durant, Oklahoma October 29, 1955 in a double ceremony with their friends Fern and A.D. Brawner. 

He is deceased by his parents; sister, Lorene Sloan; and brothers, Aubrey and Everett McCulloch and their spouses.
