CASA of Collin County announced that Morgan Stanley-The Kravitz, Ianace, LaRosilier Group of Plano is Title Sponsor for the organization’s 2004 Voice for Children Gala scheduled for October 22 at the Dallas/Plano Marriott.  The Gala is CASA’s largest fundraising event of the year and as Title Sponsor, Morgan Stanley takes the lead of more than 20 corporate entities supporting the annual fete.  All proceeds from the event benefit the McKinney based nonprofit that provides advocacy services for abused and neglected children in Collin County.

CASA of Collin County trains community volunteers, from all walks of life, to serve as the Guardians ad Litem for children who have been victims of severe abuse and neglect.  More than 80% of CASA’s caseload is children under the age of 12, and more than 20% are sexual abuse victims. Appointed to individual cases by Collin County District Court judges, CASA volunteers are thoroughly trained in courtroom procedure, social services, the juvenile justice system, and the special needs of the vulnerable children they are assigned to watch over.  CASA volunteers guard the children against re-abuse by the system designed to protect them, decrease the amount of time they are in the system, and help the children be placed in a safe, permanent home.
