Unofficial election results for McKinney City Council run-off races

McKINNEY, Texas (June 10, 2017) – Today McKinney residents cast their ballots in the run-off election to determine the District 1, District 3 and At Large City Council representatives. The District 1 and 3 representatives were chosen by the voters in the respective district. All McKinney voters could vote for the representative for the At Large position. 
 

All results are unofficial and courtesy of the Collin County Election Administrator. Provisional ballots and any overseas ballots will be counted and final results certified June 16. The City Council will canvass the results at their special meeting on June 19. 

District 1

According to the unofficial results, La’Shadion Anthony Shemwell has won the District 1 seat, earning 661 votes, or 57.23 percent of the total. Shemwell defeated Dusttin Pearson, who earned 494 votes or 42.77 percent of the total.

 

District 3

According to the unofficial results, Scott Elliott has won the District 3 seat, earning 1053 votes, or 55.95 percent of the total. Elliott defeated Margaret Harsch, who earned 829 votes or 44.05 percent of the total.

 

At Large

According to the unofficial results, Charlie Philips has won the At Large City Council seat, earning 3175 votes, or 65.13 percent of the total. Philips defeated Derek V. Baker, who earned 1700 votes or 34.87 percent of the total.
