Bonham, Texas -- There are numerous singer-songwriters in Fannin County. Musicians and artists abound here. Whether it's the pure air, the abundance of beautiful scenery or the lack of city life's hustle and bustle, Bonham and Fannin County are the home to such a variety of talent, it's almost incomparable. And it's nothing new. Bonham is, after all, the birthplace of music icon Charlie Christian and opera star Roberta Dodd Crawford.
The Creative Arts Center provides a venue for artists and musicians to gather, and, every May, Music in the Garden brings great evening concerts to Bonham. The 3-concert series winds up Friday, May 19 with Ivanhoe singer-songwriter Steve Douthit.

Steve draws his lyrics from everyday life, making each listener wonder if he's writing about them. His powerful voice is joined by his own terrific guitar skills and Steve plays in numerous styles - Country, Blues, Classic and Southern Rock with a little folk music added now and then.
Steve's signature delivery makes you want to listen - whether it's a song about heartache and loss or about blessings and bounty, he sings about many aspects of life folks can relate to. If you want to hear his music online, you can find his recordings on www.Reverbnation.com or www.SoundCloud.com. And nominations are now open for Texas Country Music Association awards. So, if you like what you hear, you can go to www.texascountrymusicassociation.org and vote for Steve's album Wrong Roads.
