 Notice of Public Meeting

The Tulsa District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will be holding a public meeting (open house) on Tuesday, March 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fannin County Multi-Purpose Complex, FM 87, 700 Texas 56 in Bonham, Texas 75418.

The purpose of the open house is to allow the interested public to comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed Lower Bois d’Arc Creek Reservoir. The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a Section 404 permit from the USACE to construct a dam and reservoir on Bois d’Arc Creek that would impound water for diversion and use by NTMWD's members and customers, including the City of Bonham.

The DEIS may be seen or downloaded here.

Representatives of the USACE, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the NTMWD will be present at the open house to provide information and answer questions.

Comments on the DEIS must be submitted by April 21, 2015.

For further information, contact Andrew Commer, USACE, Tulsa District Regulatory Office, 918–669–7400.
