Dodd City, Texas – November 14, 2014 ---- Hannah’s Horseshoes of Hope equine-assisted therapeutic riding center based in Dodd City has announced that with the ‘retirement’ of their founder and executive director, Janice Mills, the center will be dissolved as of December 31st, 2014.

Hannahs thanks all who have been a part of the organization over the past 15 years. Among those are:

Our students and the caretakers who have entrusted their loved ones to us; our volunteers, our many terrific instructors; Board Members; our barn managers; our talented Physical Therapists; our donors and supporters – especially First United Methodist Church of Bonham and McKinney, the Denison and Sherman Service Leagues and those who have donated – horses, time, expertise, tack, hay, feed, structures, funding and love. Thanks to Jose Vasquez, Officer Pannel and his crew from the department of Criminal Justice – Cole Unit and Rick and Tracy Ferguson.

We are hopeful that those who have been part of Hannah’s will find a new ‘home’ in the attached list of equine therapy centers in the area. They would all welcome new students and love volunteers!

Our volunteers have been a key part of our organization over the years and special thanks and appreciation to the staff and students of Austin College. They have been faithful volunteers for many years. We are proud to say that because of their time at HHH some AC students changed their major to Physical Therapy – a high compliment to our students.

Volunteer and Student Coordinator, Susan Purcell, will remain on the job for several weeks to facilitate our present and past students finding a place to be. Her contact information and that of other key contacts are included in the following list.

We have touched many lives and many lives have touched us. We will miss our students’ smiling faces.

Blessings to ‘You All!’

BOUQUETS OF THANKS TO BROOKSHIRES

Over the many years that Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope has been serving those with special needs in North Texas and Southern OK, one business stands out as a real diamond -  Brookshires.

Brookshires' generosity has been constant.  Their staff led by their terrific Manager, Kenny Moore, has always been kind, caring, and eager to help.   They resonate what community is all about.

Our students, staff and guests have always been so appreciative of their giving spirit.  It is always a pleasure to walk into their store and be greeted by warm words, smiles and an eagerness to assist you. Special Blessings to all Bonham Brookshires' employees.  You have made a difference.
