COMMERCE — Schools will soon be back in session and the Commerce Police Department wants you drive safe and be aware of some information.
As a reminder, please be aware that Commerce ISD classes will start back up on August 25, 2014. Please watch for children walking or bicycling to and from school and watch out for school buses stopping to pick up children. The Commerce Police Department will be out enforcing the school zones and other areas. Please watch your speed in the school zones as a fine can be up to $500.00. The fine for prohibited use of cell phone in a school zone can be up to $500. The fine for passing a school bus while loading and unloading can be up to $1250.00. A fine for a second offense of passing a school bus while loading and unloading within a five year period can be up to $2000.00.
The schools schedule is as follows;
CES 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
ACW 7:50 am to 3:10 pm
HeadStart 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
CMS 7:40 am to 3:15 pm
CHS 7:50 am to 3:35 pm
