Denison, Texas -- The date/time for the public ribbon cutting and dedication ceremonies for Munson Stadium has been changed to:  Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Munson Stadium because of construction delays caused by recent and multiple rain/weather events. (The dedication was originally scheduled for August 22 at 8:30 a.m.). 

Dedication ceremonies for the new Denison High School will still be held on August 29 at 8:30 a.m. at the main entrance to the new high school, with ample time left for patrons, fans, school supporters and citizens to attend both events and join in the celebrations. 

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our public, but the weather is something we can’t control,” said DISD Superintendent Dr. Henry Scott. “We realize that the dedication of Munson Stadium will follow pretty closely behind the dedication of our new Denison High School, which is scheduled for August 29 at 8:30 a.m.  But this schedule will allow our public plenty of time to attend both dedication ceremonies and also tour the new high school and Munson Stadium, as the tours will be ongoing throughout the day.”
